Just found this and tried it for the first time. Pretty good stuff! A small introductory tutorial might not go amiss once you get to the finishing touches stage of this project, but after a few games you get the hang of things even without a tutorial. There's a couple minor glitches like event squares sometimes giving you "new explorers" that you already have and that don't unlock from being physically found (I can't be sure but I think I once got an unlock message for Scott, who's, y'know, the default? Another time I got a repeat of Ziul who is supposed to be an achievement character, not one you find), and I'm not sure if it's intended but occasionally when the "sudden dark hole" event is triggered, a random space will get replaced with a food item. And sometimes in the menus, the game will crash when you click on a button and something fails to load. But aside from those teensy imperfections, this is a really well-made game that's clearly had a lot of love put into it, and I'm looking forward to any updates in the future!
curious about the custom character, is there a way that I'm just overlooking to actually customize them or even allow people to use their own art for it?
Please don't use AI-generated assets as placeholders! It makes your work look scummy and cheap, as if you don't plan on putting that much effort into it. Besides, there are alternatives that creators have been using long before AI was an "option".
You can use real stock photos or silhouettes or sketches with the word "WIP" on it. It's still just as efficient for creators on a budget and time constraints and it will put you in a much more favourable position.

No problem, you are right, that's why I started removing each AI I used and putting my own wips, I know there are still some assets I haven't removed, But I promise the next update will get rid of them or at least the majory while I make my own sprites. I won't be using AI on my games again.
Do you think it would be possible to add a chance to dodge the arrow traps if your belly is low enough. Like below 25-30 percent. Also having high belly you take half damage from arrow traps.
Uh... I wasn't paying attention to my pawcoins for a bit and when I decided to exchange them for experience with the new auspicious skill I didn't realize just how many levels I'd get. I think I might just go along with it, but it's gonna take a while to go through all the points...
this game is extremely rng-based and i love it, sometimes the game just throws so much garbage at you and then the very next floor has the boss and exit door right next to your spawn position
despite all the rng i think there's still plenty of strategy to learn to actually get far in the game, and even though i'm no good at strategy games i do like it here, so i'm excited for the next update!
i would draw over the custom character file to add something of my own but, even though i've been drawing for 5 and a half years, fat is deceptively hard to draw so not yet

I think the game is really fun, but I'm torn between wanting to fatten my character up or keeping them as thin as possible. I'm wondering if the belly stat could have some other use besides being a lose state. Like, maybe the more belly you have, the higher chance of good "!" outcomes. Or a chance of double coins/experience from basic mobs. Having it work like a luck mechanic. That way there's a risk/reward aspect with it besides just the visuals. Again, really like the game, and I really appreciate the addition of a custom character (even if I can't use it right now,) I just wanted to give a suggestion~
More bugs have been found and realized on my end, update on the stamina bug, it seems to be a big that affects all forms of stamina consumption negation. Anyways more new bugs I realized.
First, the game doesn't take into account if you have technically multiple level ups in one go. It kinda is funky with that.
Second, wether if this was intended or not, having multiple of the same skill doesn't stack.
Anyways, on a more personal note, if this game ever gets a story, it would be interesting if you unlocked the characters through certain questions and the previous unlock requirements are boosts to stats that are kept after leaving a dungeon to make it easier to get through them.

The stamina use elimination under 25% HP skill does not seem to work properly. Does nothing while under 25% hp.
The +30 paw coins every level skill actually does not work as intended and instead infinitely gives you paw coins while in a level rather than giving 30 paw coins on a card screen.
The game was good otherwise, very fun and Pol and Elroy are easily by far some of the best characters to play. At least for getting the other characters. Hope there's a story to this since I like this game a bit. Haven't unlocked all the characters yet.

I'm not sure what the plans are for blue diamonds going forward, but I do have an idea: What if you could purchase skills with blue diamonds on starting a run? Maybe it could cost like 3 diamonds for the first skill, 5 for the second, and 8 for the third. Or some similar ramping cost. Or you could just go for purchasing starting level ups, I guess.
If I can make a gameplay suggestion, I think the stamina check should be placed after certain events like finding a merchant or reaching the exit to allow "by the skin of their teeth" type moments where you hit such a space at 0 stamina, but are able to receive an item to bring you back if one appears.
The player could still lose if, example, it's a merchant and they can't afford a stamina recovery potion or it's the exit and the only stamina recovery item offered also puts them at max belly. Or of course no stamina recovery item is available at all or the player neglects to choose one.

I just cleared the Forest Dungeon with a Brave type character, but I didn't unlock a new character.
I received an error message, but I neglected to copy it before I realized what happened...
It's an already reported bug... try doing it with another brave character while I fix it, sorry u.u

This update is pretty good! Cant wait to see the new features. i got to floor 147 with Eloy.
